EFFECTIVE WAYS TO DO WITH YOUR CHILD'S FAILING GRADES

HIRE A TUTOR
It helps a child when parents support them through tutorials. If money is an issue, ask a cousin or a friend who could tutor your child.

MAKE YOUR CHILD SEE THAT HE/SHE HAS STRENGTHS IN OTHER AREAS.
He may be a bit slow in English, but if he really shines in his science subjects, let him know. And help him in areas where he is challenged.

ALWAYS VALUE OTHER AREAS OF THEIR LIVES
We have to take a look at the total picture. School is important but so are his friends because interacting with others teaches him social skills.

PAINT A REALISTIC PICTURE OF YOUR CHILD.
If your child gets a low grade and you say, "If you get a tutor, you'll get a 90", it may be too much expectation for the child. Always take little steps and make him see that he can do it a step at a time. Set realistic and attainable goals until the child gains confidence in himself.

SAY EXACTLY WHAT YOU EXPECT FROM THE CHILD.
Be very clear with the messages you communicate.
